8th Seminar on Mestizo Identity in Brazil

VIII Seminário Sobre a Identidade Mestiça
Mestizo People and Territory is the subject in this year. The event is held by the Mestizo community since 2007 in Manaus, Brazil.
The event this year has the theme “Mestizo People and Territory”, will take place from 8 am to 12 noon on June 19 in the auditorium João Bosco Ramos de Lima, of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas, with delivery complementary academic  activity certificate. The seminary is part of the Mestizo and Caboclo Month activities, commemorative for  Mestizo Day (June 27) and Caboclo Day (June 24).
Will be seminar speakers the anthropologists Dr. Jean-François Véran, UFRJ, and Dr. Camila Fernandes Pinto; the journalist Camila Nalevaiko, director of Agência da Notícia news website, and Abiel da Silva Santos, president of the Mestizo Nation in State of Bahia and president of the Association of Small Farmers of Ilheus, Una and Buerarema (ASPAIUB), and Leão Alves, former president of the Mestizo Nation.
The VIII Seminar on Mestizo Identity is held since 2007 in Manaus by Brown-Mestizo Brazilian Movement (Mestizo Nation), the Association of Caboclos and Riverines of the Amazon (ACRA) and the National Forum of Mestizo (FNM).
